François-Charles Bideaux, IDHEC graduate, began his career as a Sports TV Director in 1984 at TF1 and then at Canal + in 1997. In 2010, he became Head of TV Sport Production and delivered all sports programmes and contents for the Canal + Group.
For more than 20 years he was involved in the production of many major international sports events such as FIFA World Cup, UEFA EUROs, Ligue1 and Formula 1.
His career in TF1 and Canal+ allowed him to understand broadcasters’ needs on big events and to cover a large range of sports at all levels: French football, European Cups and Championships, Olympic Games, Rugby European Cups and World Cup, Tennis, Formula One, Basketball, Athletics, sport shows such as Jour de Foot and Champion’s league sport shows. In 2008, he won LFP’s RFP with HBS France to broadcast Ligue 1 matches (380 /season) for 4 years.
François-Charles has a solid and large network in the industry and is able to gather skilled teams in order to deliver with consistency both in local markets and international ones.
In 2018, he joined EMG as co-CEO, alongside Patrick Van Den Berg, to develop EMG as an international player within broadcast industry. In 2021, he became advisor to the board focussing on specific areas such as sales, technology and M&A.
